""Obey" was ubiquitous for awhile in San Francisco, small stickers, large posters, on blank walls, on buses, on newspaper racks, everywhere. And I heard it had been spotted in lots of other cities. Here it is a large poster, far overhead on a freeway overpass at a bus stop. August, 2001. Since then I've seen it on tote bags and I've seen the same graphics on an "Obama" tee shirt. "
